On September 26th Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida leaving a wake of destruction and devastation behind. Among those impacted are captains who work hard to steward and share these amazing fisheries along Florida’s coast.

The information included on this page not only allows you to give directly to those who have been impacted, but also allows those funds to get there as quickly as possible.


Captain Michael Mauri

-Stuart, FL

The Mauri family lost their home, vehicles, and the family business boat due to a tornado. Michael’s fly fishing charter is their primary source of income. During the tornado they all hid for safety in a tiny bathroom and are now starting the long road of rebuilding what has been destroyed.

Captain Simon Williamsen

-Bradenton, FL

Captain Simon Williamsen experienced a high storm surge in both Hurricane Helen and Hurricane Milton which led to the flooding of his home as well as all the infrastructure to run his guiding business as he rebuilds.

Captain Louie Argiro

Crystal River, FL

Captain Louie Argiro runs Florida Fishing Adventures that is based out of his hometown Crystal River, Florida. During Hurricane Louie experienced four feet of surge into his home as well as a massive loss of infrastructure needed for Crystal River Guides.

Captain Ryan Harrington

St. Petersburg, FL

Captain Ryan Harrington had a serious storm surge in St. Petersburg Florida which flooded his home. Ryan has been volunteering in his community and trying to figure out how to get back on his feet and begin to recover from significant damage to his home and property.

Captain Eric Lion

-Jupiter, FL

Eric had a F3 tornado tough down on his home leading to severe destruction including his boats. Eric and his wife Brittany suffered a 90% loss on their property and will be on a long road to recovery and getting his charter business, County Line Charters back in full operation.

Captain Evan Snow

– Keaton Beach, FL

Evan and his wife suffered a complete loss of their home due to storm surge. Evan is currently working to get back to running light tackle and fly charters with Apalachee Inshore. Trey and his wife suffered immense flood damage and also lost a significant amount of infrastructure needed to support his clients for his guide operation.
