THE unofficial, semi-certified, number one and only source for your outdoor gifts. Marty Gallipeau of Badfish Supply and I teamed up to have some fun and put this list together. This is not marketing. These are all products that we actually love and use. To learn more about these great products, make sure to listen to our podcast. Feel free to email us some of your favorite holiday gifts by reaching out to Hunter@CaptainsCollective.com.
Remember that gifts are fun and great gear is important but there is a lot more to fishing and the outdoors than “stuff.” If you haven’t yet, I recommend you listen to my interview with JT Vanzant where we discuss keeping it simple and enjoying the journey. It will help you combat consumerism this holiday season.
UPDATE: Listen to the 2022 Gift Guide HERE, and the 2023 Gift Guide HERE.

#1 Gift: A Guided Trip
I cannot recommend this gift enough. Giving someone the experience of a guided trip is an incredible way for them to learn and enjoy what they love. Most guides have gift certificates available, so don’t hesitate to send them a message.
Email Hunter@CaptainsCollective.com if you would like some help finding a great guide near you.

ThermoWorks Meat Thermometer
Don’t be the guy/gal who always under or over cooks their meat. These thermometers are definitely expensive, but they are well worth it.

Skinny Water Culture Headwake Shorts
These shorts are sitting on the top of my list. Skinny Water Culture makes incredible clothing and these are possibly my favorite item they have put out so far. They are comfortable, tough, and fit well.

These speakers are great for anything and everything outdoors. They are actually waterproof, shockproof, Marty proof… and they look great. You are also able to sync multiple speakers together to create an even better audio experience.

You can also gift audio books through Amazon’s Audible.

Our dinner almost every night is grilled out on our Traeger. The Tailgater is easy to move and big enough to get the job done. Check out C.A. Richardson’s Rib Recipe from my podcast episode with him here.

Kids: Marine Discovery Center Kids Camp
Our four year old had the time of her life last summer at Marine Discovery Camp in New Symrna Beach, FL. I was so impressed with how the staff was able to engage her and to continue to cultivate her passion for marine life. I cannot speak more highly of the staff and camp.
While your kid is at camp, consider going out with a guide in Mosquito Lagoon. Let me know if you would like help with recommendations.

Kids: Orvis Practicaster
This is a fun rod that allows you and your children to practice casting. Velcro fish are included to make it more fun and add an element of competition to your backyard BBQ.
